1945年～50年代に製作された、多色の宝石をちりばめた華やかでフェミニンなブローチ。
淡い宝石の花が咲いたフラワーバスケットです。

戦後のジュエリーは、戦前から流行し始めた鏡面のイエローゴールドを大胆に使ったスタイルが継承されていますが、ジュエリーのデザインはアール・デコから女性的な華やかなスタイルに変化していきます。（リングなどではアール・デコのデザインを模したカクテルリングなどが作られています）このブローチも世相を反映した明るく華やかで幸せのオーラを放っているように見えます。

使われている宝石は、アメジスト、アクアマリン、シトリン、トルマリン、そしてバゲットカットされたサファイヤ。ゴールドが軽やかに処理されているのが特徴です。

緩やかな非対称性が、このブローチから現代ジュエリーの様なプロダクトデザイン的要素を排除させ自然で柔らかな温かみを生み出しています。
宝石も良く見ると様々なカットがされていて、色々な花が咲いている感じが出ていて実にいい！「もう戦争は嫌。明るく華やかな女性をエンジョイしたい」そういった思いを感じさせます。

この時代に、2本のクリップ式のピンが大ぶりのブローチをしっかり留めるスタイルが登場。
安心して着けることが出来ます。
